Kaneko began his career as an assistant director on television entertainment shows and also worked as a cram school instructor. He joined YuYu Hakusho (2023) as a member of the production team and subsequently transitioned into the VFX department, where he started working as a VFX Production Assistant. He has since served as a VFX Coordinator on major projects including the Netflix series Alice in BorderlandSeason 3 (2025) and Qiiztopia, among others.
