Aonuma began his career as a CG and VFX artist in 2003, working across a wide range of visual productions including feature films, commercials, music videos, event visuals, and game cinematics.
Since 2013, Aonuma has worked as a freelance VFX artist on various projects. On the Netflix series Yu Yu Hakusho (2023), Aonuma participated as an in-house artist from the early stages of production, contributing to VFX planning and design.
